Shower Door Styles We Install in Calgary

Frameless, semi-frameless, framed, sliding, pivot, and hinged. The right style depends on your opening width, the swing clearance you have, and your budget. We build every system to your bathroom’s exact dimensions and your chosen hardware finish, and we handle measurement and installation in house from start to finish.

Frameless Shower Doors

Frameless shower doors use thick tempered glass panels, typically 3/8″ or 1/2″, held by stainless steel or chrome clamps, hinges, and channels with no aluminum frame. They make smaller Calgary bathrooms look larger and clean faster, because there are fewer crevices where soap scum and mould collect. Frameless is the most expensive option: the thicker glass and the precision fabrication both cost more.

Semi-Frameless Shower Doors

Semi-frameless enclosures frame the fixed panels and leave the door itself frameless. You get the clean glass look at a noticeably lower cost than a fully frameless system, with more tolerance for walls that sit slightly out of square. This is the practical middle option and it suits most alcove and corner showers in Calgary homes.

Framed Shower Doors

Framed shower doors surround the glass with aluminum on all sides, which lets us use thinner tempered glass and keeps the price down. The frame carries the structural load, so framed units handle out-of-level walls better than any other style. They need a little more cleaning attention along the frame channels.

Sliding & Bypass Shower Doors

Sliding shower doors run on a top track and bypass each other, so they need zero swing clearance. If your shower or tub faces a vanity or toilet with less than 30 inches of floor space, a slider is usually the only workable option. We install both traditional roller systems and barn-door style hardware.

Pivot & Hinged Shower Doors

Pivot doors rotate on a top and bottom pin so the door can swing wider than the opening. Hinged doors mount to a wall or a fixed glass panel and swing outward. Both give you the full opening width for access, which matters on wider entries and for anyone dealing with mobility. Both need clear floor space in front of the shower.

Neo-Angle, Steam & Tub Enclosures

Neo-angle showers sit diagonally across a corner with angled panels meeting at the door, so every panel is cut to your corner. Steam enclosures need a transom panel above the door and full-perimeter seals to hold the steam in. Tub enclosures replace a shower curtain with a fixed glass screen. All three are templated on site before anything is fabricated.

Built for Your Bathroom

Find the Right Shower Enclosure for Your Layout

Alcove, corner, tub, or walk-in. The shape of your bathroom decides which door styles will actually work, and which ones will hit a wall or a vanity on the way open. Here is what we recommend for each.

  • Three-wall opening with a single door, the most common Calgary layout
  • Semi-frameless is the best value here and handles slightly uneven walls
  • Sliding doors when there is under 30 inches of clearance in front
  • Standard openings usually install in a single visit
  • Angled glass panels cut to the exact angles of your corner
  • Every neo-angle enclosure is templated on site before fabrication
  • Frameless or semi-frameless, with a pivot or hinged door
  • Frees up floor space in tight bathrooms
  • Fixed glass screen replaces the shower curtain on a bathtub
  • Sliding and bypass doors for full tub coverage
  • Fastest and lowest-cost way to open up a tub-shower combination
  • Frosted and patterned glass available for shared bathrooms
  • Fixed panel walk-in screens with no door at all
  • Steam enclosures sealed floor to ceiling with a transom panel
  • Steam-rated hardware and full-perimeter seals
  • Custom engineered, including all hardware, hinges, and glass

why choose us

Why Calgary Homeowners Choose Us for Shower Glass

Thirty years of glass work in Calgary, and a shop that measures twice before anything is cut. Here is what that means for your shower.

Measured, Built, and Installed In House

Our own glaziers handle the measure, the fabrication, and the install. Nothing is subcontracted, so there is one company accountable for the fit.

Built to Your Bathroom, Not from a Kit

Every enclosure is cut to your measurements. We do not adapt a stock kit and hope it fits an opening it was never made for.

24/7 for Broken Shower Glass

Tempered glass that lets go leaves the enclosure wide open. Call any hour and we clear the glass, measure, and fabricate a replacement panel.

Out-of-Square Walls Handled Properly

Wall channels, shims behind the clamps, and glass cut to follow the wall. This is exactly why we measure on site instead of quoting from a photo.

One Company for the Whole Bathroom

Shower glass, custom mirrors, glass backsplashes, and mirror closet doors from the same shop, so the finishes actually match.

Honest, Upfront Pricing

A written quote after the measure, with no hidden fees. Anyone quoting a shower door price sight unseen is guessing.

From emergency board-ups to custom architectural glass, our team has the inventory, expertise, and rapid response to handle any glass requirement, residential or commercial, large or small. Already have a shower door that sticks, drags, or leaks? We repair those too.

Shower Door Questions, Answered

From measurement to installation, the process takes 7 to 14 days total. The measurement appointment takes 30 to 45 minutes. Fabrication takes 5 to 10 business days. Installation may take 6+ hours depending on how many panels are to be installed.

Cost is driven by five things: glass thickness, the size of the opening, the number of panels, the hardware finish, and how square your walls are. A framed tub enclosure sits at the bottom of the range and a custom frameless neo-angle or steam enclosure in 1/2″ glass sits at the top. Thicker glass, low-iron or patterned glass, matte black hardware, and out-of-plumb walls all raise the price. We measure and quote free, and the written quote is the price.

Frameless looks cleaner, cleans faster, and costs more, because the glass is thicker and the fabrication tolerances are tighter. Semi-frameless costs noticeably less, handles imperfect walls better, and still reads as a modern glass enclosure. If budget is the deciding factor, semi-frameless gives you most of the look for a good deal less money.

Yes, but it takes more work. Frameless glass has almost no built-in tolerance, so out-of-plumb walls are handled with wall channels, shims behind the clamps, or glass cut on a slight angle to follow the wall. This is why we measure on site rather than quoting from a photo. On badly out-of-square walls, semi-frameless or framed usually gives the better finished result.

A sliding or bypass door. Sliders run on a top track and pass each other, so they need no swing clearance at all. If your shower or tub faces a vanity or toilet with less than 30 inches of floor space in front, a hinged or pivot door will hit it and a slider is the workable option.

Yes. All our shower glass is tempered to CSA A440 standards. Tempered glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than standard glass and, if broken, fractures into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards.

In many cases, yes. If your existing frame and hardware are in good condition, we can measure and cut new glass panels to fit. This costs significantly less than a full enclosure replacement. Full replacement is only necessary when the hardware is discontinued or the frame itself has failed.

Calgary has hard water, and on shower glass that shows up as white mineral spotting that etches into the surface if it is left. Squeegee the glass after every use, which does more than any cleaner. Ask about a protective coating at the time of fabrication as well, applied to the glass before installation, which makes the surface easier to wipe and slows the spotting. Coating already-installed glass is possible but never works as well.
